ffxivtips : Final Fantasy VII Remake will release in multiple parts

Final Fantasy VII Remake will arrive not as a single package but in multiple segments, Square Enix announced today. Revealed via press release sent to Nova Crystallis, “FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.”

Takashi Mochizuki from The Wall Street Journal mentioned on Twitter that the data for the remake game is “so huge” and “the software will be split into several titles (for example, FF7-Remake 1, FF7-Remake 2).” Mochizuki also noted the game will feature new scene additions, but that the basic story scenario will stay the same as the 1997 classic.

During Sony’s PlayStation Experience, fans were treated to a new trailer – featuring the first CG scenes as well as gameplay footage. Square Enix also revealed the original FF7 was now available for the PS4, having been announced at last year’s event. In celebration of its release, the title will be available with a 30% discount for the first week and will then be priced at $15.99 starting on December 13. All players who purchase the title will snag a custom PS4 theme, featuring the FF7 Remake version of Midgar.
