Weekly Jump has the latest scoop on Dragon Quest Heroes II – the action RPG sequel to the Koei Tecmo developed original due out in Japan this Spring. The magazine introduces a handful of new protagonists – each of which were designed by series mainstay Akira Toriyama.
Razel is the game’s male protagonist. As a proud, newly-minted knight he’s an official candidate student in Gywall who is studying abroad in the neighboring country of Orenka. Razel is passionate and energetic.
Tereshia is the female protagonist and Razel’s cousin. She’s the more level-headed of the two and provides balance to Razel’s energetic tendencies.
Cesare is a prince and leader of the army. He’s the prince of Gywall and childhood friend to both Razel and Tereshia. His personality is adored by others but becomes unmanageable when he loses his cool.
Orneze is the respected big sister-type character to both protagonists. She’s a warrior serving the Kingdom of Zebion – a cheerful and reliable warrior who uses an axe.
King Zebion is the leader of the kingdom of the same name comprised of seven nations.
Dragon Quest Heroes II is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on May 27th. There’s been no word on if or when the game will see an overseas release.
