Update – the game has been greenlit
The developer Morenori Soft announced the game is greenlit and they released a new video celebrating the milestone. The game will be released in Q1 2016.
Developed by indie studio Morenori Soft, Islet Online is an MMO that you can play with friends or alone. Like the Minecraft style MMOs, the world of Islet Online is made of bricks. You can dig and gather necessary materials and use to build your own land.
The game is not just about building, and it has combat and PvP aspect. You can watch the PvP video below. You can learn over a hundred skills which can be improved through practice.
The game has a full ecosystem where animals and plants interact with others. For example, wolves hunt rabbits for their life, rabbits eat grass to reproduce. If your actions break the balance of ecosystem, there will be consequences. For instance:
If you hunt too many rabbits and pigs, wolves may starve to death, due to lack of food. Then you decide to kill every wolf on your sight, an army of herbivore will lay your world waste in ruin, left nothing but a wasteland. Basically, you will reap what you sow. Your small action may cause horrific climate change, sudden blight break out from nowhere. Who couldn’t adapt to the rapidly changing world, will die.
Islet Online has NPCs, and they have their own lifetime – they will grow up, form family with other NPCs, give birth to babies, and eventually they pass away.
The game plans to release in Q1 2016. You can vote for Islet Online at Steam Greenlight page.
