Before MapleStory 2 enters open beta on July 7th, Nexon held an event titled "MapleStory 2 Launching Festival" on June 27th. On the event, Nexon unveiled a new CG and upcoming contents which will meet players in open beta.
To date, MapleStory 2 has undergone 3 tests and will kick off open beta on July 7th with a new level cap to level 30 as well as new dungeons and bosses. Guild vs Guild will be playable in open beta. In the new update in July, the level cap will further raise to level 40, in addition to new class skills and new adventure regions. In August, level 50 game content could be experienced.
Additionally, some mini games like racing and fishing are under development. From the video, we could see a short mobile demonstration, however, it is estimated that it just replanted some auction and guild chat to mobile device, but no a mobile phone version.
